The controller co-exists with your current onboard IDE ports, and enables you to add the new Serial ATA devices to your system. By simply installing the SATA-200 to a PCI slot and loading the included driver, any system with a PCI slot may upgrade to the Serial ATA interface with superior performance.
The Serial ATA-150 Controller auto-identifies and configured Serial ATA disk drives. The controller supports disk drives larger than (and smaller than) 137GB. The card is bundled with one Serial ATA cable, and complete drivers of Windows XP, 2000, ME, NT 4.0, & 98 are included.
