Our USB serial port adapters convert a USB port into 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 serial ports capable of speeds up to 921,600 bps (many of the adapters top out at 230,400 bps. The adapters which support up to 921,600 bps will indicate so in the product description).
These USB Serial Adapters and USB serial cables are designed to make serial port expansion quick and simple. Connecting to a USB port on your computer or USB hub, the USB to Serial Adapters instantly add serial communication ports to your system. By taking advantage of the USB bus, the USB Serial Adapter makes it easier than ever to add serial ports and serial devices to your system with easy plug-and-play and hot plug features. When you plug the USB Serial Port Converter into the USB port, the USB serial converter is automatically detected. There are no IRQ & COM port conflicts since the USB to serial port cable doesn't require any additional IRQ, DMA, or memory as resources on the system.
The USB Serial Port Converter provides instant connectivity with modems, ISDN TAs, PDS, handheld & pocket PCs, digital cameras, POS, serial printers, etc. It is suitable for remote access, retail and industrial applications, data collection and other applications requiring a high speed serial communications port.
